LeBron James shares cryptic warning: ‘The throne has been played with, ether coming soon’

As if jumping into his son’s layup lines to unleash a dunking showcase wasn’t enough to indicate his excitement for the coming season, it appears that the comments that surfaced Thursday from former Cavaliers general manager and current Pelicans executive David Griffin have LeBron James even more fired up than before.

Griffin became the latest LeBron’s commitment to winning and had a negative review of the working environment that follows him, both things that reportedly ‘shocked’ the King and his camp. But LeBron decided to eschew letting it go on any longer without a comment as he took to his twitter to issue a warning that ‘ether,’ a reference to the iconic Nas diss track during his beef with Jay-Z, is coming soon.

Griffin is far from the first person to suggest that playing for James is stressful, but it didn’t strike a slight change in tune when it came to his recent praises of James and his greatness. It appears that the surprise of the slight and who it came from was enough to get James to respond.

LeBron’s teammate Kyle Kuzma then came to echo LeBron’s warning.

Unfortunately for us, all we can do is talk about it for another seven weeks before we even start to sniff the start of the season.
