LeBron James shares Christmas-like excitement for Tuesday’s opener

LeBron James is bringing back all the child-like comparisons to describe his excitement after the longest offseason of his NBA life. He compared the opener to the “first day of school” at Lakers practice on Tuesday and then he went a step further in describing how excited he was last night after polishing off a few glasses of wine and a pizza.

LeBron felt like a kid on Christmas Eve last night, sharing his feelings with the world on his twitter account.

LeBron hinted during the summer about the 2019-20 season being an opportunity for him to exact revenge on his critics after he missed the playoffs for the first time 14 seasons. But now he has his chance to “be about it” instead of talking about it, as he referenced during his Media Day interviews when he was asked about people suggesting that he’s washed.

Although it’s only Game 1 of 82, the games finally matter. And in the Western Conference, every game may mean something by season’s end. The biggest challenge for the Lakers will be dealing with the days where it doesn’t feel like Christmas.
