LeBron James serenades Anthony Davis with ‘Happy Birthday’

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t get the storybook ending that they wanted last night against the Brooklyn Nets as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis missed shots to either extend or win the game on Tuesday, that didn’t stop LeBron from prioritizing a special day for his teammate on Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday, March 11, 2020, is Anthony Davis’ 27th birthday, along with the day that the World Health Organization deemed the coronavirus a pandemic. But LeBron James kept spirits high on Wednesday at the Lakers practice facility, entering the Lakers practice locker room by serenading AD with the tune of Happy Birthday, with a couple of special LeBron-created ad-libs.

The Lakers are in the middle of a long stretch of games in the Los Angeles area, continuing tomorrow night against James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and the Houston Rockets, who defeated the Lakers last month. The Lakers had little answer for the Rockets small-ball attack, so it will be interesting to see how they respond after Westbrook ran wild on them back in February.
