LeBron James sends prayers to DeMarcus Cousins after injury

LeBron James’ mind went where everyone else’s went when they saw Golden State’s DeMarcus Cousins leave Game 2 of the Warriors first round series against the Clippers with a non-contact injury: worry for Cousins.

James sent his prayers to Cousins, like much of the NBA community did, after seeing Cousins fall while chasing down a loose ball in the first quarter of their playoff game on Monday. Only a few minutes later, Cousins was immediately ruled out for the game and the Warriors announced an MRI within 24 hours.

Portland’s Jusuf Nurkic, who suffered a gruesome injury last month, also shared his prayers for Cousins.

Cousins suffered a season-ending left achilles injury last season with the Pelicans. He signed a 1-year, $5 million contract with the Warriors last summer and is once again hitting the market again this summer.
