LeBron James says his two sons ‘love’ Memphis rookie Ja Morant

Even though fires have still kept LeBron James and his family away from their Los Angeles-area home for the past few days, James is definitely feeling good about his Los Angeles Lakers getting off to a 3-1 start against thanks to Tuesday night’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

James was serenaded by Lakers fans with “Taco Tuesday” chants and the tenor of this start to the season is drastically different from last season. Following the game, James was in a good enough mood to tell the media about how much his two sons love the game of Grizzlies rookie point guard Ja Morant.

Seeing as his eldest son Bronny James plays point guard and his younger son Bryce Maximus is also a perimeter player, it makes sense that they’d gravitate to someone like Morant.

Morant burst onto the scene last year as the point guard at Murray State, shooting up draft boards and then essentially securing his place as the No. 2 pick with a thrilling performance in the NCAA tournament. Morant had a decent game on Tuesday with 16 points and two assists but the Grizzlies were significantly overmatched against a Lakers team that looked like a well-oiled machine.
