LeBron James says he was evacuated from home due to California wildfires

Wildfires in California have led Gov. Gavin Newsom to declare a statewide emergency, and one blaze near the Getty Center forced residents to evacuate early Monday morning.

That included Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and his family. In tweets the forward sent on Monday, he told the world on Twitter they had to evacuate and that they had been attempting to find rooms elsewhere to accommodate everyone.

Nearly 20 minutes later, he reported he had found a place and in a series of other tweets, sent “best wishes” to first responders and prayers to families in the area affected by the fires.
