LeBron James says capitol riot made U.S. look like ‘third, fourth, fifth world country’

After Wednesday’s quarter-baked coup attempt and what became a riot at the United States capitol building, many across the NBA addressed their displeasure with a lack of response by law enforcement and in general, the past four years. Among those who expressed their frustration was LeBron James, who spoke about Wednesday’s riot after Thursday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. James didn’t hold back at all, uttering some very NSFW language to make his point about the actions of the perpetrators but also Donald Trump, who incited the mob to storm the capital, eventually leading to the death of four people and a Capitol Police officer.

LeBron first likened the last four years to something you’d flush down the toilet.

James then expressed disappointment in what he saw on Wednesday, with a little hyperbole for emphasis about the United States looking like a “third, fourth, fifth world country.”

James and the Lakers will return to the floor on Friday night when they face off against the Chicago Bulls.
