LeBron James says ‘all 280 pounds’ of him ready to unleash ‘playoff’ LeBron

LeBron James is back from the All-Star break and he’s got some jokes, as well as something that sounds pretty close to a playoff guarantee.

James and the Lakers returned to the practice court in Los Angeles on Wednesday ahead of tomorrow evening’s showdown against the Houston Rockets. During his session with the media, James made light of reporters’ comments about  his playing weight, while also claiming that he might bring out the playoff version of himself earlier than usual.

After last Tuesday’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks, James sounded like someone who wouldn’t be too bothered if he missed the playoffs. Also, the news of Space Jam 2 filming this summer was used against him as a reason he might not care.

But James, despite his other interests and businesses, is a basketball player first. So it should be no surprise that James is hinting at a strong close to the season, a strong finish the Lakers desperately need to make the postseason for the first time since 2013.

The Lakers are currently three games behind the 8th-place Clippers with 25 games left in the season.
