LeBron James salutes Clippers leaders for playoff performance

Although LeBron James never even considered a move to the Los Angeles Clippers last year, James came away impressed with his Staples Center co-tenants after their valiant playoff performance.

The Clippers fell to the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors on Friday 129-110, to lose their best-of-seven series 4-2. The Clippers won two games at Oracle Arena, a rare feat that only few know. James is one of those few and he specifically recognized the efforts of Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell for their parts in those wins.

Although the Clippers entered the playoffs without any All-Stars, they produced one of the most memorable efforts from an 8-seed in years. James’ salute is worthwhile recognition of a team that deserves it.

Although the start of their season was not met with the fanfare of LeBron’s royal arrival, the Clippers just found a lot of good players willing to play hard every single night. Here too is another lesson for the Lakers that LeBron probably wants them to see with this tweet: finding players that have game but aren’t exactly marquee names.
