LeBron James said that one scene from ‘The Last Dance’ nearly had him in tears

The third and fourth installments of ESPN’s The Last Dance brought us back to the beginning of the Bulls’ dynasty.

Michael Jordan and the Bulls finally knocked off the Detroit Pistons — which had its own interesting subplot — and defeated the Lakers to win the 1991 NBA title.

This was a turning point in Jordan’s career. After failing to win a title in his first six NBA seasons (despite being the league’s best player), Jordan had finally gotten over that hump to celebrate with the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Jordan went from a talented player who couldn’t win The Big One to a championship-winning icon on that night.

And, well, LeBron James could relate to that feeling.

James tweeted his reaction to the fourth episode and said that seeing Jordan celebrate with the Larry O’Brien Trophy nearly had him tearing up.
