LeBron James has a new book hitting the shelves Tuesday titled “We Are Family”, the second children’s book under his name.
“We Are Family” is a middle-grade novel that delves into the story of five children coming from different backgrounds who must unite to save their basketball season, according to publisher HarperCollins. Acclaimed author Andrea Williams co-wrote the story alongside James.
“Everyone has a story and unique set of challenges they’re going through that we don’t always hear about,” James said in the release. “’We Are Family’ shows how an unlikely group of kids comes together to chase their dreams, despite having the odds stacked against them. It’s an important story of family, purpose, and perseverance in the face of adversity that I hope inspires everyone who reads it to never stop dreaming and believing in what they’re capable of.”
James’ first book, “I Promise”, drew inspiration from the I Promise School James launched in 2018. It was a No. 1 bestseller on The New York Times.
