LeBron James Reacts to Son Bryce’s Viral One-Handed Slam

LeBron James’s eldest son Bronny James is probably the most famous high school basketball player in the country right now. In a few years, that title will likely go to Bryce James, Bronny’s younger brother.

The two James brothers have very different games. While Bronny is a guard, Bryce—a sophomore at Sierra Canyon High School—is already just a few inches shorter than his father, and is commonly listed at 6’5” or 6’6”. On Saturday, LeBron shared video of the 15-year-old forward showing off his serious hops.

“LOADING.......,” James wrote, sharing Overtime’s video of the dunk, adding a prince emoji for his son.

In 2018, when Bryce was just 11, LeBron wrote that his young son was the “best shooting in this household for sure!” If he’s maintained that shooting touch along with his impressive size and athleticism, he could wind up being a pretty serious recruit.

In August, he received his first college offer from Duquesne, an Atlantic 10 program in Pittsburgh with connections to the James family.

Bryce’s college career is still years away, and it is early to project where he may wind up beyond that, but LeBron has entertained the idea of playing with both of his sons in the NBA, and not only Bronny.

“I like to throw things out in the airwaves, but I’m not one to [say] what’s going to happen in the next two to three years,” LeBron told Sports Illustrated in August. “I am a visionary, but I’m also a guy that lives in the moment. I’d definitely be looking at who got first-round picks in 2024, 2025, things of that nature; 2026, ’27. I pay attention to that type of stuff.”

When asked specifically about playing with Bryce in the pros, LeBron didn’t brush the question off.

“I feel like I could play for quite a while. So it’s all up to the body, but more importantly, my mind,” LeBron said. “If my mind can stay sharp and fresh and motivated, then the sky’s not even the limit for me. I can go beyond that. But we shall see.”
