LeBron James promises to hook up Lonzo Ball with some Nikes

Although Lonzo Ball is still on the Los Angeles Lakers, he’s a sneaker-brand free agent and he’s been sending some not-so subtle signs that he’d like to be aligned with his teammate LeBron James and Nike.

After separating himself from his family’s Big Baller Brand business after business partner Alan Foster allegedly stole $2 million from him, Ball has been looking for a new home. And he turned things up a little bit on Monday, taking a video of a stack of new LeBron’s signature shoes next to his locker. Lonzo asked for the hook up and LeBron obliged.

LeBron and Lonzo have reportedly grown closer in the months since Lonzo became more assertive of his independence after the Foster Fiasco. Ball discussed what happened with Foster during the latest episode of HBO’s The Shop, which is produced by LeBron’s UNINTERRUPTED sports media company. During that appearance, he described why he covered up his Big Baller Brand tattoo and what the saga did to him.
