LeBron James passes MJ, but Lakers mockery continues vs. Nuggets

LeBron James had a historic night, passing Michael Jordan on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list but everything continues to fall apart for the Los Angeles Lakers, falling to the 115-99 to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.

What included a big night for James ended once again with questions of dysfunction and a broken team.

LeBron James had 31 points, seven points and seven assists, while leading the Lakers to a near comeback against the Nuggets. James joined forces with South Bay Lakers Alex Caruso and Jonathan Williams to cut the Nuggets lead to two points but the Nuggets showed their excellence immediately after with a 26-12 run to close the game.

And making matters worse, Rajon Rondo made a mockery of the Lakers season which itself has become one.

Rondo left the Pelicans to be part of a potential contender with LeBron and James himself likely never thought the Lakers would be here. But here they are.

James also had his minutes cut, playing only 31 minutes after playing upwards of 38 after returning from injury. It appears that while James will have the opportunity to chase stats and play games, trying to win is at best a secondary concern to the Lakers season now.
