LeBron James partnering with David Beckham’s new Studio 99 company

LeBron James is going to be teammates with Anthony Davis next season, but that’s not the only supernova star that he’s partnered with this summer.

According to the folks at Variety, David Beckham’s newly created Studio 99 has already signed a content development agreement with LeBron James’ sports media company UNINTERRUPTED.

In a statement to Variety, UNINTERRUPTED CEO Maverick Carter had this to say about the company teaming up with one of the most famous soccer players ever.

Maverick Carter, Uninterrupted’s CEO, commented, “David Beckham typifies the ‘More Than an Athlete’ mentality” — referring to an Uninterrupted series centered on James produced for ESPN Plus — “and we’re excited to be partnering with him and Studio 99 on this new development deal and documentary. As Uninterrupted continues to grow, working with partners in Europe and within football is a natural extension of our mission to empower all athletes.”

UNINTERRUPTED has prided itself on empowering athletes to tell their stories, so it’s no surprise that Beckham’s new company found a partnership LeBron and Carter.
