LeBron James out vs. Thunder because of illness

OKLAHOMA CITY _ Starting with LeBron James missing just his second game of the season because of an illness, the Lakers announced that several of their players will not play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night.

James won't play because of flu-like symptoms, the Lakers said early in the day.

Though James played against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night and had 35 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in 32 minutes and 16 seconds, he has been dealing with his illness for several days.

James has missed just one other game this season, because of a groin injury.

The Lakers listed Anthony Davis as questionable for Saturday with a bruised backside. Davis didn't play against the Mavericks.

The Lakers also said that Danny Green (sore right hip) was out for the game against the Thunder and that Avery Bradley (flu-like symptoms) was probable.
