LeBron James and Zion Williamson have been grouped together in questions, headlines and ESPN clips on YouTube, but both of them have been in the news together even more as of late.
James and a few teammates went to the Duke-Virginia last week, which drew some allegations of recruiting on behalf of Klutch Sports. Now that James has addressed that, he was asked about Williamson the player and the comparisons to him.
James told the All-Star media scrum that comparisons are ultimately ‘great’ for the game.
A lot of the Zion Mania does remind of the circus that surrounded LeBron earlier in his career. While Williamson was a viral phenomenon, his performance at Duke has taken his legend to a new level, drawing the likes of James to his games as a younger James attracted Allen Iverson and Jay-Z.
