The 2019-20 NBA campaign will mark the 17th season in the league for LeBron James. During that season–his second with the Los Angeles Lakers–James will release his 17th Nike signature basketball shoe. Yesterday, LeBron offered the sneaker world its first glimpse of that new signature when he shared a video that reportedly features the unreleased shoe on social media.
James posted a video on his Instagram story during a recent workout which industry experts are reporting to be of the new Nike LeBron 17. While the video doesn’t detail everything the shoe entails, you can see that includes a knit construction and a reversed jewel Swoosh along with a hybrid cushioned sole.
“While getting in some work on the court, James took a moment to share a short video of the Nike LeBron 17,” Brandon Richard wrote for SoleCollector.com. “James didn’t state that the model showcased in the video is indeed his next signature model, but a retail source has confirmed with Sole Collector that it is indeed the LeBron 17.”
There is no word yet on when the Nike LeBron 17 is expected to drop. The LeBron 16 previously debuted on September 7, 2018 in a “Harlem Fashion Row” colorway. We will provide more details on the latest version of LeBron’s signature sneaker as they become available. In the meantime, expect King James to continue to tease the release throughout his social media platform in the days to come.
