LeBron James likes what he’s seen from Frank Vogel so far

LeBron James hasn’t even spent a full week in training camp under new Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, so it’s understandable that when he was asked about it him he didn’t have much to say. However, what he did say about Vogel after a few days of practice can certainly be considered positive.

I pretty much let the people upstairs handle everything that needs to be done with the ball club. I trust in them and they trust in me,” James told reporters about Vogel on Monday. “We’re set up with a great coach. I look forward to working with Coach Vogel and his coaching staff. It’s been a great couple of days so far and I look forward to it getting better and better.”

It would have been pretty shocking had LeBron come out and said he didn’t like what he was seeing, or that he disagreed with the team asking him to rest in the early stages of training camp. However, even a subtle word of support from LeBron James can mean a lot for any head coach.
