LeBron James leads the way in 19-point comeback win over Rockets

On Wednesday, the King spoke of raising his level of play to get the Los Angeles Lakers into the playoffs and on Thursday night, he delivered.

LeBron James finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to lead the Lakers to a 111-106 comeback victory over James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The Lakers trailed by as many as 19 points in the win.

James’ epic performance helped erase a 30-point night by James Harden, but LeBron wasn’t alone in the effort against the Lakers. Until LeBron’s second half surge in which he scored 16 of his 29 points, Brandon Ingram consistently brought a scoring punch for L.A., scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds in the victory as the forward punished the Rockets whenever they put smaller defenders on him.

With the win for the Lakers and a loss for Sacramento at Golden State on Friday, the Lakers have pulled within a game of the 9th place Kings and they’re now 2.5 games back of the 8th place Los Angeles Clippers.
