LeBron James, Lakers cheer Anthony Davis after huge night in Chicago

Perhaps it was returning to his hometown of Chicago, perhaps it was the fact that his Green Bay Packers are playing later today in the NFC Championship game, but Anthony Davis looked supremely motivated to perform at a high level against the Chicago Bulls last night in a 101-90 win for the Los Angeles Lakers last night.

Davis had a season-high 37 points in last night’s win for the Lakers and paced them until the starters were able to sit down. LeBron James led the game with 11 rebounds and had 19 points, but he didn’t have to do much heavy lifting on the offensive end because of Davis. After the game, Jared Dudley and LeBron himself both praised Anthony Davis on social media.

The Lakers improved to a powerful 9-0 start on the road this season with their win over the Bulls. Davis has been solid this season and so has James, even as they are both clearly still warming up the engines for the bigger games as the season progresses.
