LeBron James knew what time it was after Dame Lillard’s series winner

LeBron James knew what time it was last night and he had to tip his cap to Portland’s Damian Lillard after Portland’s star guard hit another series-ending 3-pointer.

James, although he’s currently enjoying vacation, clearly couldn’t stay away from watching the fifth game of a highly entertaining matchup between Lillard and Russell Westbrook. However, Lillard clearly got the best of Westbrook in the matchup and he ended the series with an incredible walk-off 37-footer. After the game, James tweeted out a watch emoji.

James has been a big fan of Lillard for a long time, even saying last year that he would help make Lillard appreciated if they were playing together. However, it doesn’t appear that will ever happen.

Lillard is eligible for a SuperMax extension this season and has given every indication on the record that he plans to stay with the Trail Blazers. Although Lillard was a popular name thrown around last summer as a potential Laker, that ship has sailed and Lillard waved it an additional goodbye last night.
