LeBron James is latest NBA player to forget how to inbound the ball. What is going on?

I can understand NBA stars forgetting the rules on rare occasions.

There’s so much to think about possession-to-possession — the play you’re going to run, who’s on the court, what the defense is throwing at you, the mismatches that might be created, the score, the time left on the shot clock and game clock … it’s exhausting.

But what’s with players forgetting how inbounding the ball works?

Because LeBron James — yes, that LeBron James! — is the latest to have a brain fart in the middle of a game, starting to dribble instead of passing the ball in on a possession on Sunday. And it was a big moment! The Lakers were up 118-112! With 1:26 to go!

What the what?! And let’s not let other players off the hook here. Eric Bledsoe did it in November. Draymond Green did it in January! The Spurs messed up an inbounds play this season!

Get it together, NBA players.
