LeBron James is hyped for Isaiah Thomas’ first game in 11 months

LeBron James, among the many things that he is, has always been a huge fan of the NBA. And according to James Harden, finding NBA players who actually love basketball isn’t as common as you might expect.

So with James’ status as one of the game’s biggest fans and best players, even despite a complicated history, it shouldn’t be a huge surprise that he’s excited to see the return of Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas, who rehabilitated his way from a hip injury for 11 months. James shared his excitement on twitter.

Thomas appreciated the love.

Unfortunately, things for LeBron and Isaiah Thomas did not work out the way both sides had hoped. Thomas’ hip injury limited their time to play together and even they did, the results weren’t great as Thomas was still limited by his injury.

Thomas, Channing Frye and a first round pick were traded from LeBron’s Cavaliers to the Lakers last season for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. Thomas underwent hip surgery shortly after joining the Lakers.

He signed a 1-year deal with the Nuggets in the summer of 2018.
