LeBron James is apparently having trouble getting ‘top players’ for Space Jam 2

Apparently getting star players to join the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t the only task in which LeBron James has to work a little harder in recruitment.

During an appearance on ESPN’s The Jump on Thursday afternoon, Brian Windhorst, who has an upcoming book coming out on LeBron James, said that he’s had trouble locking in ‘top players’ for the roles of other NBA players to star in the movie.

As you may recall, the original version of Space Jam featured several NBA stars in addition to Michael Jordan, including Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley while they were still in the prime of their careers. According to our own Bryan Kalbrosky of Hoops Hype, NBA sources and entertainment sources seem to differ on how much the roles will pay.

James is set to film Space Jam 2 this summer, where he will have a full-size basketball court built on the set for he and presumably other NBA players to train.
