Even though the Los Angeles Lakers were dealt a blow on the basketball court earlier today, the community of Los Angeles and beyond are still affected by the death of rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle. And on what would have been his 34th birthday, LeBron James was one of many to honor his legacy on Thursday.
James was shaken for several days over Hussle’s murder, which hit him especially hard after Hussle’s efforts to reinvest in his neighborhood of Crenshaw in South Central Los Angeles. James has spoken in a various forms about what Hussle meant to him and his feelings of grief after having communicated with him not long before his death.
James, of course, was far from the only person in sports, entertainment and beyond who shared their feelings about Hussle today.
