LeBron James hits tough fadeaway against Kawhi Leonard

The National Basketball Association came back tonight and without the manufactured drama, we had plenty of great basketball moments between the two teams from Los Angeles on the NBA’s opening night.

LeBron James, who has been accused of being washed up, showed that he can still create moments of greatness against the NBA’s best players. James had more than a few solid moments, but few were better than his fadeaway jumpshot against Leonard in the first half of Tuesday’s season opener.

Kawhi Leonard led all scorers with 23 points in the first half while LeBron had five assists to go with 14 rebounds on the evening. On the night, the Clippers have mostly outplayed the Lakers.

LeBron James has led the Lakers in assisting while Anthony Davis has been the leading scorer for the Lakeshow with 18 points in the first half.

The Clippers established themselves in the early going but not-unlike the battle for Los Angeles, the battle between the two teams is far from being settled, no matter Tuesday’s results.
