LeBron James hints that he will wear No. 6 next season for Lakers

After Anthony Davis took care of the Los Angeles Lakers by waiving his $4 million trade kicker, LeBron James took care of his new teammate by gifting him the No. 23 which he wore last year with the Lakers.

LeBron is giving up what was the NBA’s best-selling jersey last season, but the speculation about what number he will wear next season seems to already be over. James hinted via multiple social media channels that he will return as the 6 Bron, using Drake’s patented 6 God phrase.

James wore the No. 6 during his four seasons with the Miami Heat. He’s also worn the No. 6 for USA Basketball as well as using it as his practice jersey number for the last few seasons in Cleveland and Los Angeles.

LeBron’s reprisal of the No. 6 role as well as his suggestion that he will bring back the pre-game chalk toss that he made iconic during his early career indicate he’s on a mission to have a comeback season that will properly put his legacy in perspective.
