LeBron James gave Canelo Alvarez a pair of ‘Martin’ LeBron 16s

Although LeBron James couldn’t be there personally, his business partner and friend Maverick Carter delivered a gift on the King’s behalf to middleweight world champion Canelo Alvarez.

While James is enjoying some rare time off this spring, his sports media company UNINTERRUPTED is teaming up with DAZN to create a docuseries on Alvarez and his challenger Daniel Jacobs, leading up to their May 4 bout in Las Vegas.

Carter went down to San Diego on Monday, delivering a special pair of the ‘Martin’ LeBron 16s, as well as some UNINTERRUPTED merch, to Alvarez ahead of the fight.

The ’40 Days’ docuseries featuring Alvarez and Jacobs is set to premiere on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on both DAZN and UNINTERRUPTED platforms. UNINTERRUPTED has teamed up with big networks such as HBO and ESPN to produce content, but the docuseries is the first of it’s kind for the company on a large network scale.

The Alvarez-Jacobs fight will also coincides with the latest episode of UNINTERRUPTED’s The Shop, which will feature Lonzo Ball among the guests.
