Los Angeles Lakers fans got some really good news on Thursday when they found out that the team worked out a 3-player deal with the Wizards and that Anthony Davis will be waiving his $4M trade bonus.
That all means the Lakers will have $32 million in cap space that will allow them to offer a max deal to a big-name free agent that can give the team three stars to chase a championship.
There is some bad news for some Lakers fans, though – LeBron is reportedly going to gift his No. 23 to Davis and go back to the No. 6 he’s worn before in his career.
Which is rough for all the fans the spent a lot of money on the No. 23 LeBron Lakers jerseys in the past year.
Because now those are outdated. And now they’ll have to spend even more money to show their fandom for a legend who hasn’t done anything yet during his time with the Lakers.
