LeBron James debuts the Nike LeBron 17 ‘Lake Show’ during matchup with Nets in China

When the Los Angeles Lakers finally tipped-off against the Brooklyn Nets in China on Thursday, LeBron James took the court wearing his new Nike LeBron 17 “Lake Show” sneakers. This version of LeBron’s latest signature shoe recently hit Nike.com and select stores while retailing for $200. The contest in China marked the first time King James has worn a LeBron 17 during an NBA game.

After opening the preseason by totaling 15 points and eight assists while rocking the LeBron 16 “Agimat” against the Golden State Warriors, James took on more of a scoring role against Brooklyn. LeBron logged 25 minutes and scored a team-high 20 points while also pulling down six rebounds. Despite building a 33-29 first-quarter lead, however, his Lakers would eventually drop the exhibition game 114-111 to the Nets.

The black shoe dressed in the purple and gold design of the Lakers uniforms could put this version of the LeBron 17 in heavy rotation this season. The colorway certainly lends itself to matching well with any style of the gold, white or black uniforms Los Angeles might wear throughout the year. They definitely looked fresh in the traditional gold jerseys with purple trim on Thursday. These kicks could also very well be the sneakers that James opens the regular season with on October 22 but we’ll have to wait a couple more weeks to find out for sure.
