LeBron James credits Steph Curry after sinking no-look 3-pointer

During the Los Angeles Lakers’ tilt against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, LeBron James added a new highlight to his already deep catalog. During the second quarter, James drilled a triple from the corner in Houston. While it may look like a normal 3-pointer, the four-time Most Valuable Player added a different wrinkle.

Before the shot swished through the bottom of the net, James turned his back to the basket. The successful no-look jumper from James set the Lakers bench into a frenzy. The Lakers forward later explained Dennis Schroeder made an in-game bet with James about the no-look shot.

If you’re a fan of the Golden State Warriors, the turn-away 3-pointer from James might have looked familiar. Throughout his career, Steph Curry has drilled his fair share of no-look jumpers.

Following the Lakers’ 117-100 victory over the Rockets, James credited the Golden State Warriors sharp-shooting point guard when talking about no-look 3-pointers. When James was asked about who he associates the turn-away style shot with, the reigning NBA champion praised Curry’s shooting talent.

Steph [Curry] has definitely probably done it the most in our league. When you shoot the ball as beautiful and effortlessly and precisely as Steph does, he has the ultimate ultra-green light to do that because 10 times out of nine, it’s going in for Steph.

After closing out a seven-game homestand on Tuesday, Curry and the Golden State Warriors will meet James and the defending NBA champions on Monday for the final game of a three-stop road swing.
