LeBron James confirmed he’s switching to No. 6 with simple tweet and Lakers fans went nuts

LeBron James has a lot of changes going on right now with his basketball career.

Anthony Davis will be joining the Lakers in that big trade with the Pelicans. The team now has the cap space to add another max player. And King James will be giving up his No. 23 to Davis.

It was reported Thursday that LeBron would be making that move for his new teammate, who waived his $4M trade bonus after the Lakers made a deal with the Wizards on Thursday to free up room.

And now we know that LeBron will be going back to No. 6, which he wore during his days with the Miami Heat in which he won two NBA championships.

LeBron announced that move with this tweet Thursday night:

I don’t even know how you do the emoji with the small number, but whatever. It’s official. No. 6 LeBron is back.
