LeBron James choked up discussing tragic passing of Nipsey Hussle

LeBron James, like several in the NBA, Los Angeles and around the world, has been shaken by last week’s tragic murder of Nipsey Hussle outside his The Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles.

James has shared his grief on social media several times over the past few days, echoing those who are also mourning the loss of Hussle while also sharing stories of his own experiences with him. But for the first time, James opened up about the impact of Hussle’s death in an interview with CBS Los Angeles.

LeBron, someone who has worked hard to re-invest in the communities he comes from (LeBron James Family Foundation, I Promise School), is of course noticeably upset that someone who had similar goals to him of giving back to his community was murdered while living out that goal.
