You know what day it is? If you are familiar with LeBron James, you know that his kids at the “I Promise” school in Akron, Ohio have already gotten back to the grind of the school year. So this week, Taco Tuesday and LeBron’s passion for helping the youth of his hometown collided in Ohio.
James is in Ohio as his students at the “I Promise” school are starting a new school year in which they are expanding the reach of the school to include 5th grade students as well as some new upgrades to the school.
James’ arrival in California has coincided with a new-found love for tacos but this can be sure: His commitment to the youth of Northeast Ohio has been anything but trendy. With the school expanding its reach and the number of students it serves, the growth we’ve already seen from the school will hopefully continue to positively impact the area’s youth.
