The calendar has officially turned to September and that means the end of this month brings the start of training camps across the National Basketball Association. And with the season closely approaching, LeBron James is already getting in the gym with his new Lakers teammates, including superstar big man Anthony Davis.
In sharing some footage from pick-up games from the Lakers practice facility, James shared a photo from Klutch Sports of he and Davis guarding each other in the scrimmage. LeBron went on to say that he believes he and Davis will push each other more than “anyone else ever could.”
The expectations for the Lakers are much higher entering this season than they were at this time last year as they are currently the runner-up betting favorites to win the title behind the neighboring L.A. Clippers. The Davis trade is the biggest reason why but the Lakers front office did a much better job of prioritizing outside shooting to compliment their two stars during the offseason.
