LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green all out Monday

Although the people who made the schedule for the Los Angeles Lakers did them no favors by scheduling three games in five days just after returning from China, the Lakers are taking matters into their own hands when it comes to protecting their two stars.

According to Yahoo’s Chris Haynes, the Lakers are expected to rest both LeBron James and Anthony Davis this evening when they host the Golden State Warriors for their preseason home opener. It’s just the first of three match-ups against the Warriors this week after the two teams played in the preseason opener on Oct. 5.

The Warriors themselves will be without a couple of key players in forward Draymond Green and newly-signed guard D’Angelo Russell, according to our own Mark Medina of USA TODAY.

The Warriors will, however, have Stephen Curry in uniform so the game won’t be a complete for fans looking for star play in the preseason.

Tonight’s preseason game between the Lakers and Warriors will be shown on NBA TV.
