LeBron James and Lakers prepare to host Kemba Walker and Hornets

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers continue to play out the rest of their season, with Friday’s matchup coming against a team that has a lot to play for.

Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets enter Monday’s matchup part of a three-way battle for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte is currently one game out in the loss column with eight games to go, including tonight’s game against the Lakers.

The Lakers, of course, were already eliminated from the playoffs last week but LeBron James has made a point to continue playing games and playing hard when he gets out there. He’s still been able to rack up big numbers when he does play and has provided a jolt even though the Lakers are playing significantly short-handed.

With Josh Hart the latest member of the young court to be shut down for the rest of the season, Friday will also be another opportunity for the guys on two-way or expiring contracts to showcase what they can do for next season.
