LeBron James, family haven’t returned home since evacuating, thankful for first responders

All things considered, LeBron James is happy that he and his family are safe after being forced to evacuate their Los Angeles-area home on Sunday night. James shared on Twitter that he and his family found a place to stay that night. But after the Lakers cancelled practice on Monday, James has not spoken to the media yet about his hectic night escaping the Getty Fire in L.A.

James gave reporters an update Tuesday morning, sharing that while his family and home are safe, they’ve been unable to return because the area has not been deemed safe.

James thanked first responders for their work.

James was probably relieved for the opportunity to rest on Monday considering he apparently got only two hours of sleep the day before. James may get some normalcy back into his routine later tonight when the Lakers host the Memphis Grizzlies.
