LeBron James and Anthony Davis watched scrimmage at Tuesday practice

The Los Angeles Lakers are being very cautious with their stars and in the case of Tuesday’s practice, they also wanted to give other players on their roster a chance to play in a full-speed setting.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were both full participants in Tuesday’s practice, except for the end of practice scrimmage session the Lakers had, which was not a 5-on-5 affair. This comes after LeBron James sat out all of Monday’s practice, which offered some rare load management in the preseason.

It appears that after last year’s season going sideways with regards to LeBron’s health, the Lakers are being especially cautious early on in the season. As for Davis, who has been a full participant in all of the practices, the end of practice served as a short rest for him.

However, the most interesting part of this is that James was again told to rest during an early part of the season. It will be interesting to see how that evolves during the season and if LeBron is truly load managed this season, missing regular season games when healthy for the first time of his career.
