LeBron James and Anthony Davis ‘humbled’ by Shaq and Kobe comparisons

Anthony Davis and LeBron James has been incredible as a duo throughout the entire postseason run for the Los Angeles Lakers, posting a 14-3 record so far in the playoffs, putting them only two wins away from an NBA Championship after beating the Miami Heat during Friday night’s Game 2. James and Davis combined for 65 points, one game after combining for 59 as a duo.

With both of them going for over 30 points in an NBA Finals game, they were the first Lakers teammates to do so since 2002, when Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant did it. Both James and Davis talked about how it humbled them to be mentioned in the same breath as the Lakers legends, which LeBron called the “most dominant duo” he had ever seen in his lifetime.

The Lakers were also wearing their Black Mamba snakeskin jerseys in Game 2 against the Heat, While the Lakers got a historic performance from their leading duo, the rest of the Lakers also contributed key offensive plays to help overcome a scrappy Heat team that forced the Lakers stars to be as great as they have been throughout the postseason.
