
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati was in Cairo on Thursday for talks with top Egyptian officials, including President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
Mikati is also set to meet with the Secretary-General of the League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
In September, Lebanon reached an agreement with Egypt to import natural gas via a pipeline passing through Jordan and Syria.
Cairo expects to start exporting around 65 million cubic meters of natural gas to Beirut by the beginning of next year.
