Leavitt refuses to confirm Trump’s 15-point plan and whether it was rejected by Iran

  • White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the administration never confirmed the 15-point plan and alleged “misinformation” spread by the media during Wednesday’s press briefing. She said Trump is willing to talk with Iran but warned of "unleashing hell" if they do not abandon nuclear ambitions and cease threats.
  • Leavitt refused to give further details about who the US was directly negotiating with in the Iranian regime, amid statements from top Tehran officials that no negotiations were ongoing. Leavitt said, “President Trump is going to give his diplomats the freedom that they need to have these sensitive diplomatic discussions without negotiating and litigating them through the news media.”
  • “I saw a 15-point plan that was floated in the media. I would caution reporters in this room from reporting about speculative points or speculative plans from anonymous sources, the White House never confirmed that full plan,” Leavitt said. “There are elements of truth to it, but some of the stories I read were not entirely factual.”
  • Leavitt claimed the US military's "Operation Epic Fury" is ahead of its 4-to-6-week schedule, significantly weakening the Iranian regime's capabilities.
  • She reported that over 9,000 enemy targets have been struck, leading to a 90% reduction in Iran's ballistic missile and drone attacks. Leavitt also claimed that the US has destroyed more than 140 Iranian naval vessels, including nearly 50 mine layers, in three weeks.
