For those of us who find the concept of a leather trench dress or leather button-front shirt a little daunting, a pair of leather trousers is a fool proof way to tackle the trend.
But before you dig out those distressed looking biker skinnies from the back of the cupboard, let’s be clear: this winter’s leather love-in is with an altogether smoother and luxier looking skin.
Whether real or faux - and, really, the faux are as gorgeous and glamorous as the real thing these days – ditch the skinnies in favour of baggy, straight and tapered fits, paper bag waistlines and cropped lengths. Those prepared to tackle leather culottes or trackies win extra brownie points.
