JAIPUR: The special court of ACB cases has rejected the closure report of June 12, 2019 given in favour of UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal and former deputy secretary NL Meena in the case of the single lease to Ganpati Construction Company in 2011.
The court has also rejected the final report (FR) of July 7, 2021, in favour then Jaipur development commissioner (JDC) Lalit K Panwar and then JDA additional commissioner VM Kapoor.
The court has asked the DG of ACB to get the matter investigated by a senior police officer of the rank of SP as per the points suggested by the court in three months. It was also directed to take disciplinary action against the officers involved in the investigation of the case in the past. The court gave this order on Monday on protest petition by complainant Ramsharan Singh. The court has reserved the decision on the point of cognizance against minister Dhariwal and others in the case. In this case, the Supreme Court, while hearing the SLP of the complainant, had directed the ACB court to take a decision on the protest petition of the complainant at the earliest.
The complainant's counsel said deal was done under the direction of then UDH minister Dhariwal. Dhariwal and Meena allegedly misused their positions and submitted closure reports in their favour on June 12, and June 13, 2019, it was argued.
