Gardai arrested a learner driver who allegedly tested positive for cocaine after they were seen driving on the wrong side of the road.
The motorist was driving unaccompanied and had no L-plates visible.
A roadside test revealed a positive reading for cocaine.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí stopped a vehicle observed driving on the wrong side of the road.
"The driver was found to be a learner driver, unaccompanied with no L-plates on display.
"Driver also tested positive for drug-driving and was arrested."
Meanwhile, another motorist was found to have excessively worn tyres, no tax or NCT when they were stopped by gardai in Longford.
The driver was also clocked speeding at 76kph in 50kph zone.
Their vehicle was detained and a fixed charge notice was issued.
