An uninsured driver was described as being "very lucky to walk away" from a horror crash on a Wirral country road which left his car flipped on its side.
The driver was travelling along Brimstage Road in Wirral at night in a black Vauxhall car when the incident occurred.
After police attended the scene, the driver was found to only have a provisional licence and was not insured to drive.

Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit shared a photograph of the severely damaged car on its side in the middle of the road in a post on Twitter, with a spokesperson saying: "The driver was very lucky to walk away from this on Brimstage Rd, Wirral.
"Unfortunately his driving highlighted no insurance and only a provisional licence."
Merseyside Police added that the driver would be facing criminal charges after the incident.
The spokesperson said: "He will be attending court in the near future."
