Leaked: Patriots’ illegal footage of Bengals’ sideline is public

The New England Patriots’ illegal video footage of the Cincinnati Bengals’ sideline is official public, thanks to FOX Sports. At least, some of it is available for public consumption.

On Sunday, the FOX Sports broadcast showed leaked footage of what a member of the Patriots.com production team captured during the Bengals’ game against the Browns in Cleveland during Week 14. FOX’s video showed the Patriots employee’s monitor, which clearly showed the Bengals’ sideline. The FOX video also had audio, which captured the conversation between the Patriots’ producer and a Bengals security staffer.

The interaction has spurred an NFL investigation. New England has admitted to wrongdoing, but the team said in a statement that they broke NFL rules by accident. The Patriots.com producer, who didn’t know the rules he was breaking, was working on a documentary series on an advance scout who was at the Bengals’ game. The team said they had no intention of using the footage for their preparations against Cincinnati.

Here’s a look at what FOX had from the moment.

It will be interesting to see if the court of public opinion changes if more of this footage becomes public.
