Leaked I'm A Celeb memo shows what family members are told to write in letters from home

I'm A Celebrity bosses are preparing to ramp up the emotion in camp with letters from loved ones in midweek.

A leaked memo sent to the friends and family at the Versace hotel asks them to “tell them how proud you are” and to give them “any family news they might have missed”.

The family members are banned from mentioning world news or any media coverage of I'm A Celeb though, or face it being removed from their letters.

They have until 5pm on Tuesday to write them and the letters are expected to go into the jungle on Wednesday or Thursday.

In past series the letters from home have led to emotional scenes in camp.

Last week when the group got there care packages there were tears from some contestants.

Viewers are hoping Caitlyn will get a letter from her famous daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner (ITV/REX)

A show source said: “The letters always make for emotional scenes in camp and great TV too.

"We think people like Jacqueline and Andy who are really missing their kids will be teary when they get their letters.”

Every year the stars fight back tears as they get a letter from home read out to them in the camp.

Last year, runner-up Emily Atack got a sweet note from her mum, who wrote: "I can't even begin to tell you how PROUD we are of you!

"You've been so brave and determined and you've been your true self from the second you arrived. You seem so happy.

"You're so funny and your beautiful freckly face without makeup reminds me of when you were 9 years old...

" Keep being kind to others and keep dong the impressions."

Last year's winner Harry Redknapp looked overwhelmed when he got a letter from his beloved wife Sandra.

She expressed her pride in the former footie manager and teased that she'd have his favourite pudding waiting for him when he got out.

Sandra wrote: "I have always been proud of you but the last two weeks watching you has made me realise your strength and determination to succeed at anything life throws at you.

"But I never thought it would mean eating fish eyes! You have made us all proud.

"We miss you terribly but I am being well looked after by everybody. The family love you and are so proud of you Love you always, PS jam roly poly is waiting!"
