Leaked England line-up gives Jadon Sancho chance as Gareth Southgate makes Kalvin Phillips call

Gareth Southgate will resist the opportunity to rest the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Harry Maguire and Declan Rice this evening despite the trio being a yellow card away from missing a potential European Championship semi-final.

Phillips knows a booking in this evening's match against Ukraine in Rome would rule him out of the semi-finals should England progress to a Wembley date against either Denmark or Czech Republic in the last four.

An amnesty for bookings comes into place after the quarter-finals, with anyone on a yellow card having it wiped out to ensure they don't miss out on the final.

Despite having that worry hanging over a number of his players, Southgate is expected to start all three with a line-up for this evening being widely reported ahead of the game.

The England boss will change things up, however.

Southgate is being tipped to revert to a 4-3-2-1 formation for the game, with new Manchester United signing Jadfon Sancho getting a first start for his country at the tournament.

Bukayo Saka is thought to be missing through injury, with Kieran Tripper also has a muscular problem, with Kyle Walker handed a start in defence.

Here is the predicted line-up for the game.

England team vs Ukraine (4-3-2-1): Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw; Phillips, Rice; Sancho, Mount, Sterling; Kane.
